During Ms Abeer Qatabi’s visit to Italy with Mr Hasan Al-Wahdani / General Manager of Nasser Group from 9/7/2007 till 15/7/2007, several meetings and official visits have been scheduled as follows:
1. Monday 9/7/2007
Meeting with Mr Qais Shuqair / First Secretary & Deputy Head Of Mission / Embassy of Jordan -Rome.
During many ideas & possibilities have been raised and discussed to increase the cooperation & coordination between the Jordanian Embassy in Rome & The Jordanian Italian Business Council -JIBCO -, which helps in gaining a better perspective & knowledge to enhance the business relationship between Jordan & Italy.
2. Tuesday 10/7/2007:
Meeting with Mr Sergio Marini/ President of Arab Italian Chamber of Commerce at Chamber premises - Rome.
The main purpose of this meeting was to provide & exchange the necessary information as well as to increase direct cooperation between the Arab Italian Chamber of Commerce in Rome & the Jordanian Italian Business Council -JIBCO -.
3. Wednesday 11/7/2007
A. Visit to “ Hafner Thermal Treatment Plants“- Bozen – Bolzano.
Hafner Group offers cost effective solutions which allow energy recovery from as waste, biomass, sludge etc.
Hafner Develops individual thermal plants tuned to the clients demands. Tha facilities are equipped with proven and sure technology, based on “incineration grate” or “rotary Kin “.
The plants are characterized by low operational costs and reasonable investment costs.
Hafner produces facilities for the thermal treatment of:
1. Household waste.
2. Biomass.
3. Hazardous waste.
4. Hospital waste.
5. Sewage sludge.
6. Liquid waste.
B. Meeting with Mr Luciano Borin President of “Action Stream
International Solutions for Development.
Action Stream International, based in Venice, Italy, and Tunis, Tunisia aims at supporting the development of local communities in emerging economies through approaches which are concrete, sustainable and conducive to rapid results. ASI engages in consultancy services on policy/strategy aspects pertaining to development and investment dimensions. In addition, ASI activities focus on addressing two urgent issues:
1. The need to create sustainable jobs for growing populations through SME development.
2.The provision of energy from renewable sources to support rural communities. Without energy, basic social services cannot be rendered, and business activities cannot be established nor sustained.
C. Meeting with Prof Alessandro Costa
Director Of International Economic Department at University of Napoli & is a friend of Mr Luciano Borin and has worked with Jordan Investment Board .This meeting followed by dinner organized by Mr Costa at rowing club in Rome.
4. Thursday 12/7/2007 :
Visit to Crystal & Glass Plant in Venice followed by lunch organized by Mr Luciano Borin.
